We are looking for an experienced Technical Specialist Assistant.  This is a full time, 40hrs/wk position working as a Supervisor Assistant in Laboratory Services.  This position is located in York, Maine.


 Primary Responsibilities include:


  • Performs a variety of laboratory services,analysis of laboratory tests, quality control, equipment maintenance, processing of laboratory specimens, clerical duties, development and maintenance of procedure manuals, protocol updates, ordering of supplies, orientation of new staff, and other team responsibilities under the direction of a Board Certified Pathologist. Duties and Responsibilities essential to performing the job successfully include all the skills and competencies described in the competency checklist associated with each position. Each staff member is responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to perform the technical aspects of their job. Staff members provide care appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric, pediatric and general population. Staff is responsible for the care and safety of patients and maintaining patient confidentially at all times. Staff is responsible for communicating the mission and vision of the hospital as well as developing effective working relationships with patients, physicians and path members. Employees in this position must be flexible, efficient, and capable of performing tasks with accuracy in the duties assigned to them by the Technical Specialist. In the temporary absence of the Technical Specialist, the Assistant will be responsible for the overall operation of the designated department.

  • MT or MLT Certification (ASCP)
  • College Degree and/or Transcripts
  • A minimum of (1) years of experience.
