The Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides leadership, direction for the organization and is responsible for all administrative aspects of the York Hospital that are assigned. The COO ensures compliance with established Health System objectives while enhancing quality of patient care to the highest level and delivering fiscally prudent health care services in meeting the local community needs.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer of York Hospital the COO holds day-to-day operating responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of the Health System. The COO will be tasked to provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and on-going monitoring of system-wide priorities, plans, and goals and objectives.
MHA/MBA/MS/MPH in hospital administration, healthcare administration or equivalent educational experience. Minimum of 10 years of management experience with a minimum of five years hospital management. Lean certification preferred.
Demonstrated experience and responsibility for budgeting and strategic development with a strong track record of success.
Experience in managing hospital operations, clinical and support services in competitive markets, effective management of resource utilization including labor productivity, cost competitiveness, new program development, revenue growth, quality improvement, use of lean and other process improvement strategies.
